MTU’s student chapter of ASPRS is an informal organization centered around weekly “Tea Times” (Currently: Thursdays at 6:00PM, EERC 422).
Yes, tea is served- but more importantly it’s an opportunity for university faculty, staff, and students to meet and discuss geospatial topics of interest. While photogrammetry and remote sensing are certainly welcome topics, other areas of interest such as GIS, GNSS, and data mining are also regularly discussed. Discussion typically focuses on projects underway as well as upcoming opportunities in the field.
Agendas are published before the meeting, people who wish to discuss a topic in particular are encouraged to submit items to firstname.lastname@example.org. The agenda is by no means formal, though. Additional topics may be discussed as well.
